In our adult instructional and learn-to-play programs, you’ll build skills and confidence from day one. We’ll teach you how to skate, handle a stick, and play your very first game - with others who are just as new as you. No experience? No problem. Here, nobody judges - everyone just plays.
You won’t be sitting on the sidelines or waiting weeks to join in. From your very first session, you’ll be on the ice, learning by doing, feeling the thrill of real progress.

New to Hockey? This Program is for You!
Our adult beginner programs walk you through the fundamentals of ice hockey: skating, puck handling, shooting, and the basics of team play. You'll be on the ice with other first-time players in a low-pressure environment where everyone's in the same boat.
Programs run four times a year (January-March, April–June, July–September, and October–December). By the time you're done, you'll have the skills and confidence to jump into a beginner Hockey Finder co-ed adult division.
Our engaging sessions are designed to improve required skills in skating, passing, shooting, and positioning.
You'll focus on:
- Skating skills, including stopping and edge work
- Passing techniques
- Shooting accuracy
- Stickhandling
- Positional play
Each session concludes with a friendly scrimmage, offering you the chance to showcase your skills and bond with teammates. If you're new to hockey, our program delivers personalized instruction and tailored drills to inspire you on your journey to joining our vibrant adult hockey league!
Need Gear to Get Started? Rent Hockey Equipment from Rink Rat Rentals
We have partnered with Rink Rat Rentals to make hockey more accessible by offering high-quality equipment rentals—perfect for both new and returning players.
For the upcoming season, Hockey Finder participants can rent complete equipment sets for $65/month, or rent individual items based on their needs. Jocks and jills are also available for purchase. There is also a buyout option so you can buy and keep the gear after your rental period.
The rental period starts at three months, with the flexibility to extend your rental or choose the rent-to-buy option, where a portion of your rental cost is credited toward the purchase price if you decide to keep the gear. Adult hockey equipment rentals require at least a one week lead time.
