Become a Hockey Finder Instructor
Help Adults Fall in Love with Hockey
Hockey Finder is growing! We're looking for passionate, experienced ice hockey instructors to help lead our Instructional Hockey program. If you love the game and teaching it, this is your opportunity to make a real impact on adult players just getting started.
What You'll Do
Our Instructional Hockey sessions are one day a week, one hour of on-ice programming designed to build confidence and skills in brand-new adult players. Each session includes approximately 45 minutes of structured drills covering foundational skating, puck handling, passing, and positioning followed by a supervised scrimmage where you'll provide real-time feedback on game play. You'll help players connect what they've practiced to actual hockey situations.
You set the tone. Our players are adults who are new to the game. They show up nervous, excited, and ready to learn. Your job is to make them feel welcome, capable, and excited to come back. And to introduce them to the Hockey Finder culture of Fun, Friendly, Social hockey where the community it the heart of our league.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal Hockey Finder instructor brings:
- Verified ice hockey coaching experience: you've been behind the bench or on the ice in a teaching role
- Comfort working with adult beginners: patience and positive energy are non-negotiables
- Strong communication skills: you can break down complex skills into simple, approachable steps
- A fun, encouraging coaching style that fits our Fun – Friendly – Social culture
Certifications such as USA Hockey Level 1 (or higher) are a plus, but coaching experience and a great attitude carry a lot of weight here.
Why Instruct with Hockey Finder?
- Be part of a growing, community-driven hockey organization
- Work with motivated adult learners who genuinely want to be there
- Flexible scheduling that fits around your life
- Competitive pay for qualified instructors
- The satisfaction of watching someone score their first goal. Because of you!
