Pearl Street Brewery beer will be flowing, Driftless Axe & Arcade will be there for some axe throwin' and we will be raffling off some adult themed baskets, So come have fun and help us raise money for a good cause!

16th Annual Iceland Invitational

The Travel and Play 16th annual international Men’s Over-30 ice hockey tour offers the opportunity to visit the amazing and unique country of Iceland, play in a great tournament, experience some of Iceland’s cultural, scenic and historical treasures and enjoy Reykjavik’s vibrant nightlife. It is a FUN city!!!!

Your training and tournament base is Egilsholl ice arena located in Iceland’s capital city of Reykjavik, and home of Bjorninn Ice Hockey Club. Play four tournament games against international competition and end your tour with a social event and awards party with opposition teams at the rink. Your hotel is located in central Reykjavik, close to restaurants, bars and many local attractions.

Cultural highlights of your trip include a visit to Viking World, a guided walking tour of Reykjavik and a visit to a geo-thermal spa. In addition, a number of optional sightseeing opportunities are available to all participating players.

Your team is invited to our Buffalo Winter Classic Cup this January 31st-February 2nd, 2020.  Riverworks, The Healthy Zone, & Northtown Center will be the host rinks to this unique event.  Some of the best venues around the country - to give you and your team the best and the most unique experience possible.

RiverWorks is the city’s premier waterfront, boating, sports, music and entertainment destination located along the banks of the Buffalo River.  RiverWorks features two state of the art ice rinks that are covered by a metal pavilion with open sides to provide shelter while maintaining an outdoor feel which includes spacious, heated locker rooms steps away.  RiverWorks also features a 60,000 square foot multi-purpose area that offers great food and entertainment.


The Healthy Zone Rink has become a true asset to not only East Aurora, but also the entire Western New York community. Since opening in the fall of 2008, this outdoor venue has added a pavilion-style roof, locker rooms and a warming hut that includes - snack bar, fireplace, & television. The Healthy Zone features one state of the art ice rink that is also covered by a metal pavilion with open sides to also deliver a “one of a kind” setting. The Healthy Zone is located only a short distance from Main Street, home to many charming local shops and restaurants.


The Northtown Center at Amherst is Western New York's feature multipurpose sports facility located in Amherst, New York. The facility includes three NHL regulation ice pads (200" x 85'), one Olympic size ice pad (200' x 100'), a full service pro shop, restaurant and sports training facility.


There are a maximum number of teams allowed for this tournament.  Teams are accepted on a first come, first serve basis.  It is highly recommended that you register early to reserve a spot for your team as we expect this event to fill up quickly.

DETAILS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

  • All teams must be ready to start Friday morning at 7am.  Sunday games may end as late as 6pm.  It is advised that you acquire hotel rooms for Thursday Night.
  • This is a Stay to Play Event.  It is required that all teams traveling 90+ miles to this event must reserve their hotel accommodations through TRAVELING TEAMS.  Thank You in advance for your cooperation. 
  • Due to the limited ice time at Riverworks & The Healthy Zone, there is a possibility your team plays some games at another nearby facility.  However, all championship games will be played at either Riverworks or The Healthy Zone.
  • Team deposits & payments are considered non-refundable.  Refunds to teams will only be provided if the division your team registers for gets canceled.
  • Any mistake or errors made by the applicant during the registration process shall be construed against the applicant and may disqualify applicant's teams from a refund.
  • TCS Hockey, Inc. is NOT responsible for a team refund in the event of a national/natural disasters or travel complications.
  • Full payment is due no later than one month prior to the event.
  • Certified rosters should be submitted (via email/mail) no later than two weeks prior to the event.
  • Fifteen scoresheet sticker/labels should be submitted (via mail only) no later than two weeks prior to the event. (Excludes all Mite/8U teams)

North Jersey Phoenix Invitational Tournament

Type: Adult

Divisions: Co-Ed

Levels: B/C/D


Arena: ProSkate

Tournament Format

  • 4 game guarantee, 1st game is on Friday evening.
  • Games will consist of three 13-minute stop time periods. 
  • Competitive divisions determined based on the information provided by players at the time of registration.
  • Game reminders, results and standings will be available through the SportsEngine app (available on iOS & Android App Store) and will also be posted on our tournament website throughout the weekend.

Team Rules

  • Teams must have a minimum of 10 fully registered players and 1 fully registered goalie prior to the team registration deadline.
  • A player can only be rostered on one team.
  • All players must be on the roster prior to the start of the weekend, any players not on the roster who are caught playing in the tournament will be ejected immediately and the game will result in a forfeit for the offending team.
  • No substitutions or last-minute add-ons. ALL players must be on the official roster.
  • Players should bring both light and dark jerseys, including numbers on the back. Home team wears white, away team wears dark.
  • Players must sign the score sheets located at the registration table before the start of each game.

Game Rules

USA Hockey Adult rules will be observed with the following exceptions:

  • Minor penalties will be 1:30, Major penalties will be 3:00.
  • Fighting majors will result in immediate suspension from the tournament, no exceptions and no refunds!
  • Tournament staff reserves the right to ban players from participating in future tournaments due to unsportsmanlike behavior.
