    Keeneland Classic House Tournament

    We are hosting our 2nd annual Keeneland Klassic youth hockey HOUSE tournament this October.

    The Keeneland Klassic

    Dates: Saturday October 21 AND Sunday October 22, 2017

    Divisions: 10U, 12U, and 14U

    Level: House only!

    Location: Lexington, KY (Lexington Ice Center)

    About: This season will be the 2nd year for the Keeneland Klassic.  The Keeneland Klassic provides House players a unique opportunity to participate in a tournament against other House level teams.

    Tournament highlights:

    ·      4 game guarantee (2 games Saturday and 2 on Sunday)

    ·      This is a “pure” House Team Tournament only, which will be strictly enforced.  No All-Star or Select teams (no teams that have tryouts, invites, cuts, etc.).   

    ·      “Horseshoe awards” for each team for each game awarded to players for sportsmanship, effort, and performance (The kids love these!)

    ·      MVP trophies for each age group Championship game

    ·      Championship Banner awarded to winner of each age group 

    ·      Each team will have the opportunity to attend Keeneland Racetrack (We will schedule your games in order to allow time to attend the races on Saturday).  

    ·      As part of their Sponsorship, Keeneland will give up to 20 free admission tickets to each team for Saturday or Sunday's races to the first 12 teams that register

    ·      Tournament T-Shirts avaialble

    Tournament Cost:

    ·      $875 per team that registers for the tournament and pays a $300 deposit before September 21, 2017

    Hotel blocks have been reserved.  Teams will need to stay in one of the Tournament provided hotels.  Hotels are conveniently located near the rink, numerous restaurants, shopping, and are about 15 minutes from Keeneland.

    The St. Louis Park Rec Center near Minneapolis has added a state of the art, refrigerated and covered, outdoor rink providing a great opportunity to enjoy outdoor games in comfort and without the risk of unpredictable weather.  By registering for this Winter Classic Cup your team will ensure a great time while facing great competition and the elements in this one-of-a-kind event.

    There are a maximum number of teams allowed for this event.  Teams are selected on a first come, first serve basis.  It is highly recommended that you register early to reserve a spot for your team.  Due to the uniqueness of this event, there is a possibility teams could play 1-2 games at a nearby indoor/outdoor rink.  Age Divisions, Skill Levels, and Entry Fees are as follows:

AAU Youth Athlete membership must be obtained before the competition begins, except where the event operator has a laptop available with an internet connection.     There are a maximum number of teams allowed for each event.  Teams are selected on a first come, first serve basis.  It is highly recommended that you register early to reserve a spot for your team.
