Getting Started with Hockey Finder
Joining the co-ed adult Hockey Finder league is easy — no team needed, no tryouts, just hockey.
1. Create an Account
If you haven't already, visit www.hockeyfinder.com/register to create an account.
2. Find Your Skill Level
Start by checking out our Skill Level Guide. Whether you're brand new to hockey or have years of experience, there's a spot for you. It's important that you accurately self-assess your skills and experience and choose the most accurate skill rating.
Once you determine your skill level, return to your account and add that rating to your player profile. Go to Players, click on your name and update your skill rating in your player profile.
3. Pick a Division
Once you know your skill level, find a location that includes your rating. Each division is built to keep games fun, friendly, and balanced so everyone enjoys great hockey. Choosing a division with a skill range aligned with your rating will ensure you have a great experience.
4. Register
Once you find an adult hockey division near you, sign up for the season. We have four seasons per year:
- Winter 2026: January - March (Registration opens November 1, 2025)
- Spring 2026: April - June (Registration opens February 1, 2026)
- Summer 2026: July - September (Registration opens May 1, 2026)
- Fall 2026: October - December (Registration opens August 1, 2026)
Registration for each season opens at noon on the first. Rosters are closed when all spots are taken. As long as there's an opening, you can register!
First-time players will need a set of Hockey Finder jerseys. During registration, uncheck the jersey box that reads "I have the required Hockey Finder jerseys" to add them to your order. Returning players can reuse theirs.
5. We'll Take It From There
Once you're signed up, we'll handle all the details. You just show up and play. Your Division Manager or Captain will email you about a week before your first game with more information about your team and schedule. Once teams are finalized, you'll see that in your account under My Games on the website. Check out our Adult Hockey League FAQ for more details and answers to other questions you might have.
