Any teams within the 70-mile limit that are planning to get hotels must also go through our hotel booking process. Failure to comply could result in forfeiture of games or disqualification.

Once you submit your application, you will have access to a complete list of hotel options. You then will be able to enter up to five hotel choices and a list of people that require accommodation.

Occasionally, we provide information to purchase tickets to either a professional or college hockey game over a tournament weekend. If you are considering this option, you will need to send us an email to scheduler@bigbeartournaments.com and get this approved in writing before proceeding.  If you buy tickets without going through this process, you may have to choose between your tournament game and your outside entertainment.

Please be aware that if your team is traveling by plane, motor coach, or any method requiring payment and/or reservations, we recommend booking with companies that allow for cancelations, refunds, or transferring to a later date without penalty.

Please note: As a condition of acceptance to our tournaments, all out-of-town teams must stay at an authorized Big Bear hotel .

MITE BEFORE CHRISTMAS 2023

Welcome to Oswego Minor Hockey Association’s 37th Annual Oswego Mite Invitational - "The Mite Before Christmas Tournament"!   The Christmas themed event will take place on Saturday and Sunday Dec 9-10, when we will host more than 200 6-8 year-old hockey players, along with a special visit from Santa!

This Mite tournament will include teams from all over upstate NY.  The Mite Red (A), White (B) and Blue (C) divisions will play 4 on 4 half-ice with goalies.  There is a 4 game guarantee for all teams. Tournament will be played at both Fort Ontario - Anthony J Crisafulli rink and Kingsford Park - Cullinan RInk.  Both rinks will be utilizing the USA Hockey ADM approved cross-ice board system donated by Oswego's own Erik Cole.

Brackets, rink locations, times and locker rooms will be sent directly to coaches to distribute to teams.  There will be vendors, raffle baskets, food, and beverage choices available at the Fort Ontario - Anthony J Crisafulli rink.

In the spirit of the season OMHA has partnered with Food Bank of Central New York to donate a portion of proceeds to families in need.  Please consider adding a few non-perishables to your hockey bag for families in need through the Human Concerns Center. Gently used coats and other winter gear will be accepted for donation to the Rescue Mission.

Many thanks to all who support this great event!
